I worked with Ban over a period of 14 months with a group of Senior and General Managers mostly engineers. Ban facilitated a leadership programme with 12 modules with this group on a variety of leadership topics ranging from Coaching to DISC. She also conducted one-on-one coaching sessions and debriefed 360s with them. When we started the sessions they were very antagonistic following some very negative feedback they had received on their internal customer service.
They also were adamant that they were not a team and did not need to be one as they believed they needed to work in silos and then pass on any information to team members who were impacted by their decisions and actions. The mood in the initial workshop was aggressive and the body language was daunting. However Ban managed to turn that group around over the following months.
The team became a much closer group , understood the need to work as a team and even held a celebration for their “graduation”.
